Ryan,
I am seriously impressed with how much you like "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". I think it's cool. What is it about the film that has you constantly keeping it on your list of films for people to check out?

I'm glad "Pineapple Express" is on the list, perhaps you're just hip enough to enjoy the Apatow branch of comedy in Hollywood?

Forgetting Sarah Marshall continues to be one of my 5 favorite films in release. It's more a statement against everything else that's out. Not to say I haven't enjoyed other films along the way I just liked Sarah Marshall more. I liked Get Smart, but there were always 5 films I found more worthy. To answer the actual question, I generally like all of the Apatow gang films, especially the ones that feature Freaks and Geeks alumni. Jason Segal is a big part of why I like the film so much. I have enjoyed him in all of his other work (Freaks, Undeclared, Knocked Up, How I Met Your Mother, etc.) Since he wrote, stars and let's face it- autobiographical; it plays to his strengths. It's both personal and hilarious at the same time. Plus the whole puppetry thing is also genius. The webcam scene involving Bill Hader's character is one of the funniest scenes I have seen this year.

I'm sure you will see Pineapple Express in my top 5 for its whole release as well.

Segal is pretty cool, and a great part of "HIMYM".

I liked his character at the beginning of "Freaks and Geeks", but did not like where they took him by the end of the show (basically once he and Lindsay broke up). And I didn't really care for his character in "Undeclared" either - but he was good.

Cool to know there's other "Freaks and Geeks" fans amongst my friends...

His Undeclared character I liked during the scenes with Kyle Gass and David Krumholtz. The love triangle, not so much.

As far as Freaks and Geeks, I think they were trying to feel out what to do with him post Lindsay.

Bill Hader was great as Daniel Plainview as well.
